The Thane police on Thursday arrested two youths in connection with the alleged gang rape of a 17-year-old college student from Dombivali, a township on the outskirts of Mumbai.

The victim, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, was allegedly gang raped at Manpada near Dombivali in June.

The accused identified as Rohan Bhoir (23) and Abu Ansari (23) were arrested on Thursday night from a village in Dombivali. Police claim that the youngsters, who were unemployed, frequented the college where the victim studied and had befriended her claiming they were fellow students.
