The Maharashtra branch of the Indian Police Service (IPS) Association on Wednesday spoke out in support of the police personnel assaulted in Delhi.
A statement released by the association on Wednesday said a special meeting was held to discuss the matter at 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday.
“The IPS Association, Maharashtra strongly condemns the brutal attacks on police personnel by lawyers at different places in Delhi recently. The Association stands in solidarity with our brethren of Delhi Police and remains committed to support any action of the CIPSA in approaching the appropriate forums for bringing perpetrators of crime to justice and for upholding the rule of law,” the statement said.
It concluded by saying that all are entitled to equitable justice without fear or favour.
