Security firm owner kills self

A 54-year-old owner of a private security firm committed suicide at his house in Mulund on Monday.

The Mulund police said that Satnam Singh Boparai, managing director of Boparai’s Martial Security Pvt. Ltd, was found unconscious at 12.30 a.m. in his bedroom on the 15th floor of Willows Twin Towers. Boparai was rushed to Fortis Hospital in Mulund, where he was declared dead before admission. Mulund police sent a team to make inquiries after hospital authorities informed them about the incident. An officer said, ““We have not found a suicide note in Boparai’s house or on his person.His family members told us he was suffering from depression for the past two years after being diagnosed with a liver disease and diabetes.”

The officer said an Accidental Death Report has been registered and investigation is on to rule out foul play. Statements of the family members will be recorded after the last rites are performed.
