Actor Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday reacted to her name being brought up in the Thane Call Detail Record (CDR) case and said proper investigation must be conducted before drawing assumptions.

According to reports, Ms. Ranaut’s is said to have messaged actor Hrithik Roshan’s number to lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui. It is being investigated if the lawyer had sourced Mr. Roshan’s CDR as well.

Ms. Ranaut, in a statement, said, “When we respond to a notice, we give all details to the lawyer. To assume that these details were used to violate law and make statements based on that assumption and defame an artiste is super lame on Abhishek Trimukhe’s [Deputy Commissioner of Police of Thane (Crime)] part. Proper investigation should be carried out before making assumptions.”

Mr. Trimukhe had earlier said, “ Probe found that Ayesha Shroff [wife of actor Jackie Shroff] procured the CDR of actor Sahil Khan and shared it with Rizwan [Siddiqui], this was revealed in the analysis of Rizwan’s mobile. Also investigation has revealed that Kangana Ranaut had shared Hrithik Roshan’s mobile number and shared it with the accused Rizwan in 2016, reason for that is not known yet, probe is on.”
