Mumbai: A portion of the compound wall of the International Cargo Complex at the city airport collapsed due to heavy rain on Monday, damaging a few vehicles. The rain didn’t disrupt flight schedules, a Mumbai International Airport Ltd. spokesperson said.

“A portion of compound wall next to the Blue Dart courier office collapsed on some vehicles. The fire brigade, police, MMRDA and BMC ward staff were mobilised. No casualties were reported,” officials said.

Major carriers Jet Airways, Indigo and Vistara issued notices to passengers, provided waivers on cancellation fees and accommodation for those who missed flights.

Monitoring site flightradar24.com said 273 departures and 67 arrivals were delayed, and five were cancelled.
