The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court on Wednesday issued a production warrant against Chhagan and Sameer Bhujbal in the Rs. 100-crore Maharashtra Sadan scam. The duo are incarcerated in the Arthur Road Jail after the Enforcement Directorate filed the charge sheet, naming the two, before the Prevention of Money Laundering Act court. The court directed the jail authorities to produce both of them in court on June 22.

The prosecutor informed the court that they have sought a production warrant against Pankaj Bhujbal as well, as he has failed to appear before the court.

The charge sheet runs into 20,000 pages and has statements of 60 witnesses. There are allegations of money-laundering and land-grabbing in the construction of Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi. The charge sheet names Chhagan’s son Pankaj, Manikkalingam Saha, Sanjay Joshi, Deepak Deshpande, Anilkumar Gaikwad, Pravin Chamankar, Prasanna Chamankar, Iram Sheikh, Geeta Joshi, Arun Devdhar, Devadatt Marathe, Bipin Sankhe, Krishna Chamankar, Pranita Chamankar and Tanveer Sheikh.

Last month, Pankaj moved the High Court seeking protection from arrest in the case.
