Four of family injured in Chembur fire

Mumbai: Five people, including a minor, sustained serious injuries in a fire that broke out in Chembur on Wednesday evening. The blaze was caused by a gas cylinder leak at 5.30 p.m. at the house of Subhash Kamble (65). He and his three family members, and a neighbour have been admitted to Sion Hospital. Dr. Jayashree Mondkar, dean, said all the five are critical. “Most of them have more than 40-45% burns,” Dr. Mondkar said. The injured are Subhash Kamble (69), Kiran Kamble (40), Manisha Kamble (34), Daksh Kamble (13), and Pooja Hinduja (40). While Manisha received 90-95% burns, Kiran suffered 70% burns.
