A fire broke out in Bandra's Shastri Nagar slum around 10 am on Tuesday. This is the second such fire this month.

Four fire engines and water tankers have been sent to the spot for the level 2 (minor) fire. Firefighting operations are underway and no casualty has been reported so far.

Local MLA Ashish Shelar tweeted about the fire and said police and fire brigade are trying to bring the situation under control.

A similar fire had broken out in the slum on the night of November 8 and was major. It took three hours to be doused.

On October 30, a major fire had broken out in Bandra's Nargis Dutt Nagar slum.
