The Mahim police have arrested a double murder convict for allegedly raping his cousin repeatedly over the past seven to eight years. The police said that the accused’s wife was also arrested as she did not report the crime despite being aware of it.

The Mahim police said the victim approached a woman police inspector earlier this week. The police said that the accused had been convicted in 2002 for killing two men in Mahim after he suspected one of them to be having an affair with his girlfriend.

He allegedly first forced himself on his cousin when he came out on parole seven years ago. He continued to sexually abuse after he completed his sentence in 2012.
