The Vasai Railway Court on Wednesday directed three youths arrested for making a parody video on the #KikiChallenge to create a campaign promoting safety and cleanliness on trains.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) had arrested three men on Tuesday after they uploaded the video on their YouTube channel, Funcho Entertainment.

The video garnered 68,000 likes and over 1.8 million views. A part of the video was shot on Platform No. 1 at Virar station.

Anup Shukla, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF, Western Railway, said, “As soon as we got to know about the video, we sent a team to nab the youths. All three accused are residents of Virar. We took prompt action against them.” The three youths were charged under various sections of the Railways Act for creating a nuisance, travelling on the footboard and endangering the safety of passengers.

The magistrate of the Vasai Railway Court ordered the youths to run the awareness campaign on three days from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and submit a video on the campaign on August 13.
