Maharashtra-based managed cloud service provider Exuberant Support for Data Services (ESDS) has set up its second data centre in the state at Mahape in Navi Mumbai to expand its operations. The facility was inaugurated on Saturday by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

This data centre is part of the company’s Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government according to which the firm will invest Rs 200 crore in the state. It has also said it would provide employment to 500 people by 2017-18 at its data centres in the state.

Spread over 80,000 sq ft, the cloud data centre will offer private cloud (a type of cloud computing dedicated to a single organisation) and eNlight Public cloud (a cloud computing platform which allows a hosted virtual machine to scale resources automatically. This is India’s only patented auto scaling technology) hosting for customers.

Additionally, the company has also introduced its new product, eNlight 360 – a next generation, on-premise hybrid cloud platform to offer large enterprises and SMEs with an auto-scalable and pay-per-consume cloud hosting solution that delivers always available and reliable computer rollout of SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) based portfolio.

Piyush Somani, CEO and MD, ESDS said in a statement, “Our new cloud data centre and eNlight 360 on-premise hybrid cloud platform is a true testimony of our commitment to constantly innovate and raise industry benchmarks. Empowered with India’s only patented eNlight cloud, we are best poised to be the strategic partner fulfilling modern business demands for highly reliable, available and easily scalable IT infrastructure requirements.”

Mr Somani said his company would be happy to partner the government’s Make in India and Digital India campaigns that will “drive connected economy, amplify business growth and project India as the innovation hub.” With this facility, ESDS has total data centre footprint spread over 1,00,000 sq ft floor space in Mumbai and Nashik.
