The Central government on Wednesday elevated four lawyers from the State to the status of Bombay High Court judges.
The order signed by Rajinder Kashyap, Joint Secretary to the Union government, named Avinash Gharote, Nitin Suryawanshi, Anil Kilor and Milind Jadhav as additional judges with the Bombay HC for a period of two years.
The Supreme Court collegium had in March cleared the names of the four advocates and a fifth name, Madhav Jamdar, which was dropped in Wednesday’s order.
