A 14-month-old baby boy, who had fallen off the balcony of his fourth-floor house in Deonar, was discharged from Fortis Hospital in Mulund on Monday. Atharva Barkade sustained multiple injuries, including injury to the liver and fracture on the right thigh, in the fall on January 3. He was shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and was on ventilator support. Doctors said that the boy recovered well and did not need any surgical intervention.
