Veteran adman and theatre personality Alyque Padamsee was laid to rest in Worli, Mumbai on Sunday morning. Padamsee, 90, passed away early on November 17 following an illness.

Padamsee was known for his role as Muhammad Ali Jinnah in the 1982 film ‘Gandhi.’ He was awarded with a Padma Shri award in 2000.

The funeral was held at Worli crematorium at 11 a.m. Apart from family and friends, veteran director Shyam Benegal, producer Siddharth Roy Kapoor, director R. Balki, actors Raveena Tandon, Boman Irani, Cyrus Broacha, Kunal Vijaykar and theatre person Gerson da Cunha attended the ceremony.

Former partner Dolly Thakore, daughter Raell, son Quasar received visitors and accepted condolences.
