Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday reserved it’s order in a petitiion filed by Rabia Khan against the CBI charge sheet declaring her daughter actress Jiah Khan’s death as homicidal and not suicidal. A Division Bench of Justice Ranjit More and Justice Shalini Phansalkar Joshi was hearing a plea filed by Ms. Khan on February 15 for the setting up of a Special Investigation Team to look into her daughter’s death.

The CBI charge sheet says that on June 3, 2013, Jiah was found hanging at her residence by her mother. Jiah had been staying at actor Sooraj Pancholi’s house the previous two days and had returned to her home that morning. Mr. Pancholi was arrested on June 10, 2013 on charges of abetment of suicide and was granted bail by HC in a week.

Ms. Khan’s advocate argued on Wednesday that murder could not be ruled out as circumstances and conduct of evidence suggested the same. He pointed out the marks on Jiah’s neck which have not been looked into by CBI and said this did not suggest suicide.
