2 injured as shed collapses in Chembur

Two people sustained injuries when a portion of a shed collapsed at an HP petrol pump at Umarshi Bappa junction in Chembur East at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday.

An official at the fire brigade control room said, “We received a call around 12.36 p.m. informing us about the collapse. We immediately sent two fire engines to the spot. The injured were rescued by our personnel from beneath the debris and rushed to Sion Hospital.”

The injured have been identified as Lalchand Dholpuriya (26) and Jatin Mandlik (25). The casualty medical officer at Sion Hospital said that Mr. Dholpuriya suffered head injury and Mr. Mandlik has sustained blunt trauma to the chest. The officer said that both of them are in a stable condition.
