The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) has deployed a large section of its officers to keep a tab on the activities of the judges and appeals committee officials during the 55{+t}{+h}State School Arts Festival slated to be begin here on Thursday.

These surveillance at all 18 venues, including the main venue Malabar Christian College grounds, was part of a State-level initiative to check malpractices at the popular and highly competitive festival. Already officials had collected the mobile phone numbers and other details of the judges and officials. If required the call data records of the judges would be verified for any inquiry, a senior officer said.

Participants or aggrieved persons could directly contact the Vigilance offices here if they suspect any foul play in choosing winners of the competitions.

Complaints could be registered through phone calls at the offices of the Kozhikode Deputy Superintendent of Police (0495-2743207); North Zone Superintendent of Police (0495-2744396) and Special Cell Superintendent of Police ( 0495- 2743206).
