Two killed as LPG tanker lorry and truck collide in Kerala

Three persons sustained serious injuries in the incident

Two persons were killed in a road accident involving an LPG tanker lorry and a truck at Koyilandy in Kozhikode district on July 18. Three persons sustained serious injuries in the incident.

Police identified the victims as Jaffer, 42, of Thirunavaya and Rajendran Chinnadurai, 48, from Tamil Nadu.

Rajendran was the driver of the tanker lorry involved in the head-on collision. The injured were admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

Fire and Rescue squad officials from Koyilandy station said they swung into action within a few minutes after the incident and it helped saving the lives of three persons trapped inside the vehicles. There was no LPG leakage and the gas bullet was found safe, they said.
