The master plan for Kozhikode urban area has allowed investment up to Rs.100 crore on roads having a width over 18 metres. However, this will be subject to certain conditions. It has also proposed a road network plan to develop the Kovoor-Poolakkadavu, Nallalam-Methottuthazham-Palllazhi, Francis Road-Mankavu-Kunnathupalam, and Karaparamba-West Hill sections by widening it to 15 metres. Walkways have been planned from Feroke to Arappuzha Bypass and from Kothipalam to Kallayi railway station.

A lorry stand near railway overbridge at Vengali, growth centres at Malaparamba and industrial-friendly panchayat at Feroke and walkable commercial streets at many places and shifting of Palayam vegetable market to Kalluthankkadavu are other projects.
