Model education programme launched

: Minister for Social Justice and Panchayats M..K.Muneer inaugurated Smile India -2020, a model education project being implemented in public educational institutions in order to upgrade them, in Kozhikode on Saturday. Smile India is being implemented as part of Melody, an education plan for Kozhikode South Assembly constituency, in association with the Delhi-based Chamber of Education and the Sydney-based Kangaroo Centre for Excellence.

The project aims at obtaining international accreditation for select aided schools within 5 years. In the first phase, Kinassery GVHSS, Medical College Campus Government Higher Secondary School, Himayathul Islam Higher Secondary School and Calicut Girls Vocational Higher Secondary School will be upgraded as part of the project.
