Meet on Ibn Battuta from today

A two-day international conference on ‘Travel, trade, traditions, and trajectories’ of Ibn Battuta will begin at Hilite conference hall, Kozhikode, on Tuesday.

The event, named after the medieval era Moroccan scholar and explorer, is being organised by Madin Academy, Malappuram, in association with various foreign universities, United Nations Alliance of Civilisations and Hamdard Foundation, Delhi.

Mohamed Maliki, Morocco Ambassador in India, will inaugurate the meet. Research papers on civilisation and intercontinental trade links of the Malabar region will be presented on the occasion.
