Kanthapuram meets Malaysian PM

Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliyar, the Chancellor of Jamia Markaz, Kozhikode, on Monday called on the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad, at his office in Kuala Lumpur.

The meeting, according to a press note from the Markaz, was part of his initiative for upscaling the educational and social diversity of Muslims globally.

Mahathir Mohamad congratulated Kanthapuram for being elected as the Grand Mufti of India. He offered all support to the initiative and said visionary religious leaders play a big role in empowering the faithful educationally and spiritually. He noted that India was a model for cohabitation of scores of different communities who believe in diverse faiths and ideologies.
