Event delayed

: A three-hour delay in commencing the Kathaprasangam event in the High School section at Town Hall here led to protests by a section of the parents and participants. The delay upset their post-event travel plans.

Though the previous event, which was Mappilappattu for boys in the High School section, at the venue was completed on time, Kathaprasangam could not take off as one of the three panel judges did not turn up on time. The Kathaprasangam event was scheduled for 3 p.m. Attempts by the agitated parents and participants to meet the organising committee members came to nought. The event began only after all the three judges took their seats at the hall at 6 p.m.
