Central govt nod for ₹400-cr four-lane road

Facility from Beypore to Malapparamba

The Union government has given its nod to the ₹400-crore four-lane road from Beypore to Malapparamba. “The project is one of the 57 projects under the Bharatmala scheme and is expected to be a boost for the development of North Kerala,” M.K. Raghavan, MP, said in a press release.

The 18.4-kilometre road will also have a 2.9 kilometre-long flyover. It will pass through Beypore Port, Gotheeshwaram Beach, Marad, Payyanakkal and Kothi South Beach, constituting 13.4 kilometres. The flyover will be from Kozhikode Beach to Eranhipalam.
