Calicut University is set to host a conference of the Indian Botanical Society on its campus after a gap of 38 years.
V.V. Radhakrishnan, Head of the Department of Botany, told the media on Thursday that K. Mohammed Basheer, Vice Chancellor, would open the three-day meet on November 6. Around 500 research papers will be presented at the conference.
K.S. Manilal, former HoD, Botany, Calicut University, would be honoured with H.Y. Mohanram Award.
