Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president P.S. Sreedharan Pillai has sought disciplinary action action against the police officers who allegedly helped two women to trek to Sabarimala by impersonating as members of the police force.

At a press conference here on Friday, Mr. Pillai alleged that policemen owing allegiance to the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) were behind the incident.

The BJP leader accused the LDF government of encouraging atheists with a move to convert Sabarimala into a battlefield. The court had not come out with any order to facilitate the entry of women in a forceful way, he added.Mr. Pillai observed that the Sabarimala Tantri was having the power to take an appropriate decision.
