A 21-year-old from Wandoor who sustained serious injuries after a rock fell on him while riding pillion on a motorbike with his friend on the Thamarassery Ghat Road died on Saturday. He was identified as Abhinav Elampara.
According to sources in the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, the youth died of cardiac arrest during the course of treatment. He had sustained serious injuries on the head and legs.
His friend Aneesh, who also sustained serious injuries, was shifted to the intensive care unit at the medical college hospital. His condition is reported to be stable.
