The 24-hour sit-in launched by academic M.N. Karassery under the aegis of Mathethara Samajam seeking justice for the nun who was allegedly raped by Catholic Bishop Franco Mulakkal, ended here on Tuesday.

Calling for a fight against priesthood in all religions, he said it was sad to see even nuns having to approach the media seeking justice. This was such a dark age where the dominance of religion and money was left unquestioned. Mr. Karassery expressed the hope that Pope Francis would intervene to ensure justice for the nun.
