Woman raped in govt. home in Bengal

An inmate of a government home in Krishnanagar in West Bengal’s Nadia district was allegedly raped by one of the staffs of the home. Though the incident had occurred a fortnight ago, the woman complained to the District Magistrate during his visit to the home. DM Vijay Bharati had directed filing a police complaint. He had also directed the Krishnanagar SDO to look into the matter.

A senior district police official said that the accused is still absconding. The woman has been sent for medical tests.
