Body of TMC activist found

The body of a Trinamool Congress activist with injury marks on his neck and burnt wounds was found in a building in the Raghunathpur area of North 24 Parganas district on the northern fringes of the city this morning.

The body of Prasenjit Nag, aged about 38 years, was found inside a downstairs room of his residence, a senior officer of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate said.

Sniffer dogs, forensic experts inspected the place as police registered a suo moto case in the matter.

It was found that the call list on Nag’s mobile phone, which was recovered from the room, was deleted, the officer added. — PTI
