Tarangini Mahotsavam from Jan. 24

Tarangini Mahotsavam, a three-day festival of rendering songs from the Krishna Leela Tarangini [a work reflecting events from the life of Lord Krishna], will begin on January 24 at the Venkatesa Perumal temple in Varahur of Thanjavur district.

The festival will start with a procession, carrying the photograph of Narayana Teertha, who authored the Tarangini. Those who want to contribute for the festival can do so by sending their cheques or demand drafts drawn in favour of “Varagur Punniyabhoomi Trust,” City Union Bank, Nanganallur branch, Current A/c no. 104109000171958. The IFS code is CIUB0000104. Electronic transfer of money or payment in cash is also accepted.
