CHENNAI: Srinivasan Services Trust (SST), the social arm of Sundaram-Clayton Limited and TVS Motor Company, on Thursday handed over 180 high luminescent searchlights and 12 GPS equipment to the directors of Mudumalai, Sathyamangalam and Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserves as part of wildlife conservation initiatives in Tamil Nadu.

The high luminescent flashlights will be useful for night patrolling, anti-poaching raids and elephant anti-depredation activities. The gadgets were handed over to support tiger conservation. Minister for Forests K. Ramachandran and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Syed Muzammil Abbas were present.

The SST has been actively supporting the tiger reserves in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to conserve habitat, enhance water availability, strengthen wildlife protection, and improve the visitor and staff facilities. In 2022, the SST has contributed ₹20 lakh to Tamil Nadu to support Tiger conservation initiatives.
