The Taramani Police has booked a criminal case against Naam Tamizhar Katchi chief coordinator, Seeman, for praising the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in a public meeting at Kottivakkam.

The police said on May 18, on the occassion of the death anniversary of LTTE leader, Prabhakaran, Mr. Seeman had praised the organisation and its leader.

He was accused of wanton provocation with intent to cause riot, promoting enmity between classes, insult intended to provoke breach of peace.
