Jeremy Pilmore-Bedford has taken over as the British Deputy High Commissioner in Chennai, succeeding Bharat Joshi, who left Chennai recently.

A press release from the British Deputy High Commission here said Mr. Pilmore-Bedford comes to India from the U.K. Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s (FCO) U.S. Network where he was Consul-General in the southeast of the U.S. for four-and-a-half years. He has served in south-east Asia twice as well as in Russia and Qatar.

“My immediate priority is to encourage partners from Tamil Nadu and Kerala with expertise in AI/data, future mobility, fintech and cybersecurity to actively participate in our Future Tech Festival in Delhi in December,” Mr. Pilmore-Bedford said.
