Meet to address needs of senior citizens held

Must enhance quality of life, say speakers

With the population of senior citizens projected to increase in the next decade, there is a necessity to address their distinct needs and enhance the quality of their life, said speakers at a forum held on Wednesday.

The Unmukt Knowledge Series on ‘Solutions for Empowered Elder Living’, by Unmukt Festival, an initiative of KW Conferences Private Limited, aims to create a platform for key stakeholders to exchange knowledge about products and services to provide better elderly care.

Monimita Sarkar, founder, Unmukt Festival, said the meet covered various aspects, including health, finance, technology, and mobility, that impacted senior citizens’ lives. The meet saw experts discuss several aspects of the senior care ecosystem. Nanditha Krishna, environmentalist and historian, discussed their changing lifestyle.
