It was a homecoming of sorts for some of the alumni of Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School when they met at the school on Tuesday for the inauguration of the Don Bosco Math Lab and Fr. Rosario Auditorium.

Fr. John Alexander, Rector and Correspondent of the institution, said that the alumni had partnered with the school to create these facilities.

The Math Lab has been developed with HeyMath, which has designed a special curriculum for the subject and will seek to make mathematics interesting for all students, faculty members said.

The Fr. Rosario Auditorium, located near the Math Lab, and a science centre, which is an ongoing initiative, can seat about 250 students and will be used for conducting classes with AV Equipment and other academic presentations, the faculty members said.

“Our connection with the school has always been special and we are glad to be back,” said Yohan Johan, a student of the 2002 batch.

He and his father John K. John, also an alumnus of the school, have provided for lifts in the new building housing the auditorium and labs.
