Man hacked to death

October 20, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - CHENNAI:

A 35-year-old lorry owner was hacked to death in a petrol bunk by a gang at Red Hills on Monday morning. The police arrested three suspects a few hours after the incident.

The police suspect a conflict over relationship to be the motive behind the murder. According to police, Ajay, a resident of Red Hills, and two of his friends had gone to the bunk to fill petrol when five persons on three motorbikes attacked him. Some passersby informed the police. Ajay’s body was sent to Stanley hospital for post-mortem examination. Initial investigations revealed that Ajay was in love with a girl and her brother had arranged thugs to kill him.
