During scrutiny, 109 valid nominations were accepted in Chennai District - 36 in the Chennai North Parliamentary Constituency, 32 in Chennai Central and 41 in Chennai South parliamentary constituencies.
As many as 80 nominations were rejected with the maximum at 31 in Chennai North Parliament Constituency.
