Kauvery Hospital launches memory clinic

Centre to provide assessment and diagnosis of dementia

Kauvery Hospital has launched a memory clinic to provide assessment and diagnosis of dementia and offer support and information to persons with memory problems and their caregivers. According to a press release, the memory clinic will function between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. A support group meeting with activities and memory screening for dementia patients and their caregivers will be held on the second Wednesday of every month, between 2 and 5 p.m. at the hospital.

Neurologists and psychiatrists spoke on various types of dementia, depression, memory and psychiatric disturbances on the occasion. Dr. Prithika Chary, senior consultant of the hospital, was present.
