FIITJEE Chennai Centre felicitated students who had secured top ranks in the Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced) and other competitive exams at ‘Utkarsh 2018’.
Students who studied at several FIITJEE centres across the State as well as parents and faculty members came together at the Centenary Auditorium in the University of Madras for the event.
Talent reward exam
A total of 397 students who had secured high ranks in the JEE (Advanced) were given awards and 233 students from five zones who had performed well in the FIITJEE Talent reward examination were also recognised.
Also, 25 students who performed well in the Tamil Nadu Talent reward exam were given prizes.
Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali, Dewan to the Prince of Arcot, who was the chief guest, gave away the awards to the students. Ankur Jain, centre director, was also present.
Award for 5 schools
Recognising five schools for each zone which recorded the best overall performances — Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chennai; Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, K.K. Nagar; Chettinad Vidyashram; Maharishi International Residential School and Jawahar Higher Secondary School, Neyveli — were also awarded as part of the event.
