Haj goodwill panel submits report

The Haj goodwill delegation for the year 2019, led by Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, to Makkah and Madinah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), has submitted a six-page report on their visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A release said the delegation visited the Indian Haj Mission office, Indian hospitals and pilgrim buildings. They also held talkswith a number of pilgrims on the arrangements and their well-being. The pilgrims expressed their satisfaction on the facilities. The Indian government had provided medicines worth ₹3.5 crore to pilgrims.

Syed Ghayorul Hasan Rizvi, chairman, National Commission for Minorities, was deputy leader of the delegation.

The Prince of Arcot thanked Mr. Modi for nominating him as its leader. He condoled the death of former Union Minister Arun Jaitley. He said the late leader Mr. Jaitley was a decent and dignified politician, a powerful orator, and a great administrator.
