Gold jewellery and cash went missing from actor Iman alias Iman Annachi’s house in Arumbakkam. The police suspect that they were stolen by persons who frequently visited the house.

Iman lives with his family on Rajiv Gandhi Street in Venkata Krishna Nagar, Arumbakkam. He shot to fame featuring in television programmes for children and comedy shows.

According to the complainant, while his family members were away to their native place on vacation, he stayed here to honour his film shooting commitments. He kept the jewellery in the safe of a steel almirah and locked it two days ago. On opening it on Tuesday, he found 41 sovereigns of gold jewellery and ₹10,000 cash missing.

On investigation, the Arumbakkam police found that the lock of the safe was not broken or tampered with. Hence they suspected that somebody known to the actor could have used duplicate key to steal the valuables and cash.
