“Environment, management, social and economic tools are the basics of sustainable development along with education and training,” said V.K. Saraswat, member, NITI Aayog.

He was addressing the participants including academicians and students at the inauguration of the four-day techno-management fest ‘Aaruush ‘15’, organised at SRM University, Kattankulathur, here on Tuesday.

Dr. Saraswat called upon young entrepreneurs and tech graduates to contribute to national interest by coming up with innovative products and solutions.

“While taking up sustainable urban planning, one should not ignore the environment imbalances that are being caused now,” he noted.

With more than fifty events spread out over 14 domains, Aaruush ’15 caters to the needs of college-goers.

From high-level robotics to the use of biotechnology in everyday life, the event has planned ten engaging workshops for the students.

Aaruush ’15 will prove to be a fun and informative learning experience for one and all with personalities like Ankit Fadia and associations such as IET, IEEE, IAARC and many more lined up for the programme.

This edition of Aaruush includes Mobile Planetarium, DRDO Expo, Air-Force Expo, a culturally-enriching Newspaper Expo, Naval Expo, and Coin Expo. This year, Aaruush hosts four major Championships – Robowars, UAV, Coding and Sports.

Vice-Chancellor of SRM University Prabhir K. Bagchi said Funovation was a healthy blend of innovation and fun, something India needed today. A. Rathinam, convenor of Aaruush, said the programme towards infinity promotes the ability to uncover and transform astounding ideas on a humongous scale. While Lenova is the title sponsor for the Fest, The Hindu is the media partner.
