Foundation for Jayalalithaa memorial to be laid on Monday

The AIADMK on Friday announced that the foundation stone for the memorial of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on the Marina would be laid on Monday. To be located adjoining the mausoleum of former Chief Minister and AIADMK founder M.G. Ramachandran, the memorial, estimated to cost around ₹45 crore, is expected to come up in 12 months, an official of the Public Works Department said.
