The Washermanpet police are searching for a man who reportedly hit a dog and then killed it by throwing it into a pond filled with sewage two days ago.

Sai Vignesh, animal rights activist and president of the All Mighty Animal Care Trust, received a mail with a video of a man, identified as Kumar, beating a dog in Moolakothalam. He is seen throwing the dog into a sewage pond. The dog is seen suffocating to death. “I lodged a complaint and the police gave me a CSR,” he said.
