Deadline for Class X revaluation extended in three districts

Candidates can apply with three days from the day internet is restored

The Directorate of Government Examinations has extended the deadline for Class X students in the three districts of Thoothukudi, Kanniyakumari and Tirunelveli to apply for revaluation.

According to a release from the department, since the government has prevented the assembly of groups of people and has suspended internet service in the three affected districts, the students would be permitted three days from the day the internet service is restored to apply for re-totalling/revaluation.

The results of the Class X public examination were released on Wednesday and the department had given candidates time from Thursday to Saturday to apply for re-totalling through their respective schools or the exam centre for private candidates.

Anna varsity exams postponed

Meanwhile, Anna University has rescheduled the examinations due to be held on May 25, 26 and 28 of the April/May 2018 University Examination for all its affiliated colleges “due to unforseen circumstances”.

The exams to be held on May 25 will now be held on June 5; the exam for May 26 has been postponed to June 6; and the May 28 exam will be held on June 7, according to a release from the Controller of Examinations, AU. The exam scheduled for May 29 will however be held as scheduled, the release added.
