Dancer ends life in Vadapalani

He was frustrated over the lack of opportunities

A dancer, who worked in the film industry and had performed in Tamil films and stage shows, ended his life at his residence on Wednesday in Vadapalani.

The victim was identified as Senthil Radhakrishnan, 36, a resident of Bajanai Koil Street.

His father was also a dancer in the film industry. He had worked with leading choreographers in films such as Minsara Kanavu .

He was also teaching dance to children of film personalities. He was not getting opportunities to work in films and was addicted to alcohol. Frustrated over this, he ended his life on Wednesday. The Virugambakkam police sent his body to the Government Kilpauk Hospital for post-mortem. They registered a case and have begun investigation.
