The hot weather on Sunday morning did not deter a group of women from criss-crossing the city in pursuit of treasure.

More than 100 women took part in the seventh edition of ‘Heels on Wheels’ organised by The Hindu to mark International Women’s Day.

They travelled over 40 kilometres around the city in their cars, balancing speed with composure, to find answers to 62 questions in new and old landmarks, shops, brands and eateries, and complete the all-women treasure hunt.

In the end, the team of Manisha Sankla, Varsha Chordia, Amrita Bhalla and Shweta Baid won the event, and teams led by Ranjini and Gunavathi came runners-up.

Ms. Sankla, beaming with the prize money, said the treasure hunt was well designed and the event itself was marked by fun and frolic. Participants were also judged on their outfits, themes and car decoration.

Mallika Ravi, chief executive officer of Lancor Group, distributed prizes to the winners.
