Actor Arya led the beach clean-up drive held as part of the ongoing campaign “Team up to Clean-up, My City. My Coast. My Environment” conducted by the G Square Group and The Hindu.

In the event, which was organised at Panaiyur beach along the East Coast Road on Sunday morning, Mr. Arya spoke of why everyone needs to be socially responsible to preserve and protect the environment and keep beaches clean since it will impact the marine ecosystem.

Nearly 100 volunteers took part in the clean-up drive and collected tonnes of waste, including glass bottles, footwear and polythene covers. The beach clean-up drive was conducted for over a month to create awareness to conserve the ecosystem.
