Artist Natanam passes away

Artist R. Natanam passed away here on Sunday morning after a brief illness.

He was 76 years old.

Murals

Mr. Natanam is best known for his murals, which can be found in various important buildings, including the Anna International Terminal at Chennai Airport, Thennangur temple and ISKCON in Tirupathi.

Recollecting his interaction with the artist, writer J.S. Raghavan said, “Mr. Natanam was a very good friend and his illustrations have been an integral part of my columns in various publications.”

“He was a very talented artist. He will be sorely missed,” he added.
